This month marks a significant milestone for Not Your Average VA—our first anniversary. Reflecting on this past year, it's been a journey of transformation, learning, and profound gratitude. From a 20-year career in a structured environment to the freedom and challenges of entrepreneurship, this year has been about embracing change and finding joy in the journey.

The Beginning of a New Chapter

A year ago, I found myself at a crossroads, contemplating my next move after two decades in a structured corporate role. The quest for a balance between professional fulfilment and personal freedom led me down an unconventional path. I dabbled in various roles—from delivering parcels to teaching swimming—each experience enriching my journey and teaching me invaluable lessons.

Finding My Calling

It wasn't until I discovered the VA industry that I truly found my calling. The journey from an idea to a thriving business was guided by the VA Startup programme, which gave me the tools and confidence to embrace each challenge as an opportunity for growth. And with every obstacle, I emerged stronger and more determined.
